I was nursing DD last evening and she nodded off so I wanted to put her down in her crib but didn't have a blanket handy to swaddle her with and was too lazy to go downstairs to get one.

So I grabbed the nearest thing I had handy, a clean crib sheet. It was awesome!! Wide enough that I could wrap it around her a few times, stretchy, light enough that it didn't seem like it would be too hot, and I could even sort of "hook" the elastic around her feet so she couldn't kick out of it. It kept her swaddled all night and she always breaks out of her swaddle with a blanket, especially now that she's getting bigger and chunkier so the blankets aren't as big as they used to be. Anyway, I may keep just swaddling her in sheets from now on. Just thought I'd pass that along!
