Hello my lovely KU PALers! I'm sorry I've been a terrible check-in keeper!! It's been a few weeks since I've posted this! I hope everyone is doing great, and can't wait to hear updates from ya'll!! Last time I proposed doing a "bump pic" question.. so, seems like a decent number are interested in that.. I'll add it in as an optional 6th question!! Let's get this going!

2. 9 months pregnant, lol. Trouble sleeping and have had a head cold.
3. DH came home from deployment last Friday. This week has been loaded with appts. Tomorrows is the one I am a little nervous about....fetal echocardiogram.
4. Re-acclimating to having DH at home. Glad to have him here, but after 4.5 mos of just DS and I, I kinda had a system. He is disrupting that system (and my sleep).
5. Meeting this baby girl!

2. How have you been feeling this week? Pretty good overall - having a little bit of swelling and having some uncomfortable BH, but nothing too crazy.
3. Any big appointments or milestones? Nope - had a regular appt today just to measure fundal height and check the HB, that was it.
4. Highlights or struggles of the week? Highlights are I took the day off work tomorrow so I have a 3-day weekend but struggles include just working in general. I am getting uncomfortable and sitting at a desk for long periods of time only agitates my swelling.
5. QOTW: What are you most excited for now that spring has arrived?? (for most of us anyway!!) Having this baby

2. Pretty good just tired
3. Had 16 wk appt this past Wednesday. Everything was good. This Friday is a/s!!! We will be finding out gender!
4. Highlights is spending some girl time this weekend with H and my SIL and Aunt.
5. Just warm weather. Today is gorgeous! 70 and sunny!

The appt took for.ev.er. End of the day on Friday plus a LO that has been notorious for not cooperating with u/s since about 12 weeks...and as an added bonus it was an hour away and I got to drive home at rush hour...with GD at a meal time (munched almonds the whole way home, no worries).
I about lost it when the lady doing the u/s said she had to go get the pediatric cardiologist. I know it was the point of the scan, that a cardiologist would review it, but still. This has been scheduled for a month, and for that month I'd done everything under my power to not think about it. Taken a "if the docs aren't freaking out, I don't need to be either" attitude. Well, laying on the table waiting for the doc I about lost my shit with worry. No distractions, just reality staring me back on the u/s screen (she had some images saved there). Had to wipe the goo off and use the restroom, play with my phone...distract myself any way possible so I didn't fall completely apart.
Cardiologist basically re-did the scan looking for the view and measurement she wanted. Eventually she got it. To paraphrase her, "Structurally, the heart is perfect (I knew this part). The muscle measured on the upper level of normal, but NORMAL (she could tell I was freaking out, so she emphasized that part). I wouldn't consider her to have whatevertheconditionwascalled."
I purposely hadn't found out the name of the possible condition. Dr Google is not my friend when it comes to researching possible things my kids might have (I gave myself panic attacks looking up about autism before DS was dx'd). I decided to not look it up until there was a dx so I didn't worry myself unnecessarily...and I'm glad I did that this time. It was a potential thickening of a heart muscle they were looking into.
