suddenly rejecting bottles?

Hi! My LO who is 8 was old just started rejecting medela bottles after weeks of having no issues. Is this just a phase or do I need to go get new bottles? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks!

Re: suddenly rejecting bottles?

  • We had the same thing happen. My LO is now 10 weeks old, was taking 2-3 bottles a week from 3 weeks to 7ish weeks then started refusing bottles and pacis. I did try a bunch of new bottles and eventually found one she would take, but I don't know if it was time or the bottle. She still won't take a bottle from me or if I am nearby, but at least will take them for MIL who watches her!

Sorry I don't have a better answer, but persistence and patience is probably your best bet. Good luck!!

  • That's a good point. My DO was able to feed him one last night but only when I 2 wasn't nearby. Maybe he is just rejecting them from me or when I'm around. He starts daycare on monday so I guess we will see how that goes!
