What's good, ladies?

ETA: It posted before I added my own!!

C is heading to her Grand-maman's house for the weekend so that DH and I can FINALLY get her room painted. If we don't finish before she comes home tomorrow afternoon, I will adjust to the fact that my newborn will be sharing a crib with his sister....and I'll just have to explain his bruises due to her violent sleep rolling (I already have to explain her bruises from hitting the crib slats, what's one more set?). I also got DH and I tickets to see Divergent this afternoon and I cannot wait! I saw it two weeks ago when it came out, he hasn't seen it yet. Not only do I get Theo James on the big screen again, but I made sure to get us seats in the new leather recliner cinema, woot! I also bought candy last night at the grocery store, so all I'll have to buy there is popcorn

We are taking DD to an Easter egg hunt in a minute. This is the first year she will be able to so it on her own and her preschool friends will be there. Excited to see her have so much fun!

I have a pretty boring weekend but later today my other pregnant friend and I are going to Yougurt Mountain to get delish frozen yogurt with a ton of toppings! We were texting about it last night around 10pm. It was a total "you know you're pregnant when..." moment. We are way too excited!

I'm visiting my grandparents this weekend and we went out to some yard sales this morning. I got a gently used swing, clothes, receiving blankets, burp cloths and two diaper covers for $75!!

My doctor's office called with my C-section date yesterday. If I don't go into labor earlier, the big day is May 23!!!

We have a baby care class this afternoon! I'm excited for it because I have been feeling so very unprepared and uneducated about babies without any energy to do the research on my own (besides the questions thread!) so I hoping the class will really help with getting me mentally prepared for what's to come.

I am waiting for hubby to finish our taxes so then we can go garage saleing! Then it's my cousin's bridal shower and then I get to chill at my mom's and be babied, yay! Sunday we're staying around the house and I should be able to finish up painting and putting away furniture in the nursery, woot woot!

Going through our statements over 2013 for our taxes was crazy though... we went through and had to calculate how much we spent on everything for these babies to be made. Made me very thankful to be where we are today

Baby girls will be here in exactly 2 months, can't wait!!

BH have finally slowed down! I have been chugging water like crazy, and on a new work schedule which allows me to get more sleep, and I feel great. I was working 12 hour (or more) days at least 4 days a week, but usually coming in for overtime on my days off too. Now straight up 8 hour days, 5 days a week, no overtime. So nice.

Sounds like everyone is having a great weekend! The weather is beautiful here, we have all the house windows open to get fresh air. Right now we're going to paint the nursery, finally! I also made a list of things to pack, or order from Amazon, which I hope to do later tonight. Maybe we'll go out for ice cream too, yum!

Adding that after a spill on our current couch (a crappy but cheap replacement we bought last year), we went out and were adults and bought an adult couch! We don't really have the money right now, but it's 0% financing for 12 months, so we'll put next year's tax return to pay it off and I get a new couch now!! I'm so excited. Because we spent over a certain amount, I get a free maid service, 22 point cleaning and if the Red Sox win the World Series, then the couch is free!!! It's 5-8 week delivery time so it will likely be ready for pick up just as I go into labor, but yay!!!

I finished up my "list" (sort of) of last min. baby items/ and postpartum gear that I wanted, and ordered most of it yesterday. Today

And am beyond excited!! These are what they give you in the hospital, and even taking some home ( I maybe had enough for 2 days PP), I am beyond stoked to have a hefty supply to help with the swelling/discomfort PP, oh and reviews say leftovers work wonders and an on hand ice pack

Our 1st anniversary is tomorrow and DH surprised me with the same cake from our wedding! We didn't freeze the top tier a year ago and just ate it the following week because I loved the cake too much to let it sit in the freezer and get weird, so I'm totally pumped we have fresh cake to enjoy together. We also have a bottle of champagne from the wedding and I'm totally going to have a glass.

We are putting in the garden this weekend. Well I guess today because tomorrow it is going to snow, thanks Colorado! We went to Home Depot this morning and it was awesome because they allow dogs in the store so our pup could come too. I pulled some weeds and now it is nap time for me because my back is killing!

My friends just threw me an amazing shower. I feel beyond spoiled and loved right now. I cried when I got home though. Just because I knew that my mom has been having a hard time with it. She'd love to throw one but I'm not going to be seeing her until dec 2014.

I got to sleep in until noon and had cinnamon rolls for breakfast. I actually slept well for he first time in weeks!

I also went to a consignment sale and bought a snuggabunny swing and 10 outfits for $60. Score! And when I got home DH had done a bunch of laundry and vacuumed. So my weekend is awesome so far

We just moved into a new house an theres a landscaper that mowes everyones lawns. When he was over last weekend I was planing a bunch of herbs and veggies in the backyard and he started giving me advice on what to plant where. Because I cant finish anything these days, I left a lot of them in their packaging from HomeDepot and when he came over today to mow he planted everything for me!! He said he wanted to help make my backyard look pretty for my shower on Sunday. I officially love him, gave him a huge tip and invited him to the shower

My husband has been giving me some serious sunshine lately.

He's watching all of the Dad Labs videos and buying Dad books in preparation for the baby. Of the two of us, he's so much more prepared. He has also been researching birth partner techniques, sending me tips to feel better (helping with back pain, etc.), and educating himself on what to expect on the day of and first few weeks.

He's started to restructure his working/consulting schedule in order to ensure he is home with me a lot during the first month and that I will have time to myself.

Love that man!
