I've been trying to post more, but am still very much a lurker most of the time. A lot of this has to do with the personal nature of some of the posts.
For example, @KateMW's post about her DD. I wanted to comment and say, "Wow! That's really awesome!" or @CnAmom's post about her cat (I'm sorry for your loss, btw. Losing pets is so, so hard!). BUT, I feel weird commenting on posts that seem so personal when I am just some random lurker. I feel terrible ignoring those posts, though.
So, my question is: do you side-eye comments from newbies on personal topics or appreciate the thoughts/sentiments?

Yep I lurk a lot more than I post, sometimes because what I want to reply takes longer than the time I have. Sometimes a quick response is enough to share a sentiment. Post! It keeps the board alive
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
You can never have too many positive replies, and all the different responses to discussions are what make things interesting! To be honest, I never notice that someone's not a regular unless it's a pot-stirring or mean comment, then I look to see who it is.
