Still wearing breast pads?

How far past delivery are you, and do you still need breast pads?

I thought my milk supply would regulate around 6 weeks, and that I wouldn't need breast pads anymore. I'm nearly 10 weeks PP and I would be in trouble if I didn't still wear them day and night. I leak like crazy out of one boob as LO nurses on the other. Any insight?

Huh, I didn't need any until after 6 weeks. I use them periodically, as needed. I'm 12 weeks pp.

I'm 10w pp and still wear them primarily because I still drip out of one if not both. Plus I go back to work in a couple weeks and my fear is that I start leaking. I may sound naive but I thought so long as your BF you had to wear breast pads. I didn't know that there's be a day where I can still BF and not wear them.

I am still wearing them at 10w PP. I leak a LOT. With DS1 I did stop needing them eventually but I do not remember when. Then again I had lower supply with him too.

I wear mine everyday because I am paranoid of leaking out of my shirts or my bras smelling.

Wear them day and night!! Although, during the day is not as bad. I'm 13+ weeks pp.

With DS1 I wore them constantly until he was about 6 months old.

I haven't worn them at all with DS2. I leak a lot less. I will get a couple drops out of the opposite breast when I nurse but not enough to leak through a bra. I wear my bras only once or twice before washing so I don't worry too much about the milk in my bras.

I've heard that with subsequent babies your body learns that it doesn't have to make tons of milk, that it will make enough for one baby not multiple. I found that was true, I've never been as engorged with DS2 as I was constantly with DS1.

One of the "perks" of having low supply I guess...I've never leaked. But I do put some coconut oil on my nipples when I pump, and I don't want that on my bra, so I put in pads after I pump. But most of the time I go without them.

I am still leaking at 10w PP but mainly at night. DD usually sleeps through the night so she eats frequently enough during the day that I don't usually leak much. She's been sleeping long stretches for a while though and it still hasn't regulated. I do usually pump a bit before I feed her in the morning though other wise it comes out too fast and bothers her reflux. This could be part of my problem lol

12 weeks pp and still wearing them. My non nursing boob leaks a lot during nursing. I wore them till 12 months with DS1.

We are 15w PP & I still wear them at all times. I'm not only afraid of leaking at work, but they are far more comfy on my nipples than my bra. Plus I also leak a lot from the non-nursing breast when DS2 is nursing. With DS1 I wore them til I was done nursing. DS has been a good sleeper at night, essentially STTN for the past 4 weeks or so, but I still am rather engorged by the time I'm getting up to get ready in the mornings. I would be soaking wet in the mornings without them.

14 w PP and I wear them all the damn time, day and night. If I didn't I would def leak through my shirt. As it is, sometimes the pad slips and I leak anyway. Hooray!

13.5 weeks, still wearing them and almost leaked through one this week. I just ordered the 3 pack of Johnson's from Amazon because I'm sick of having to go get them every few weeks.

) Even now that I know this info, I doubt I can go without pads. Right when I whip my boob out to start pumping, Im already leaking. When I wake up in the morning, the pad from the side that I didnt feed on before bedtime is so soaked and heavy, sometimes I double up and put a reusable pad behind the disposable.

I rarely wear them especially during the day. I leaked a little the first few weeks and tried a few types/brands and they all were irritating so I stopped wearing them around the house. I should probably wear them at night since Benji is so inconsistent and with his long stretches I do end up soaking my pjs but most of the time IDGAF and just change shirts.

@bkrudd I bought bamboobies since I heard such great things about it, but I hated them. They are heart shaped so I found it weird to put in my bra without it making weird lumps. I also leaked thru them really easily. I even leaked thru the overnight ones. Just my review on them in case you look into them. I love the disposables so much more.

I'm 11 weeks PP and only just started wearing them more regularly, but only because I get a little quarter-sized wet spot on the side I'm not nursing from when LO eats. Otherwise I don't leak, but I think my supply is very regulated... I always assumed ppl wore them until they stopped breastfeeding, so I bought the disposable ones assuming it would be less costly over the whole breastfeeding timeframe.

Ok so I used to leak out of the opposite breast when nursing until I read somewhere that applying pressure to the nipple when you feel the let down stops it...and sure enough it works! Since it started doing that I rarely need the pads. I still use them when leaving the house for a period of time just incase though.

I used to wear them 24/7. I'm 13ish w pp (or is it 14? Idk anymore) and finally don't have to as often as of the last few weeks. If it's been quite awhile since the last feed, I do leak out of the non-nursing side. I stopped wearing them to bed a couple weeks ago. I decided I'd rather wake up drenched than be uncomfortable all night trying to keep the stupid things in place. My body has finally regulated, though, and I can STTN without the running faucet effect. I only wear the pads now if we go out because I do occasionally leak at random.

12ww pp and I still wear them. I think more because it now hurts when my nipple rubs against the bra. I don't really leak, but I don't know when I will so rather have them on. I just figured as long as I'm breastfeeding, I will wear them. The only thing I don't like is they somehow fold at some point and the sticky side gets stuck to my areola!!! Now that hurts!!!
