  I don't use them. I would probably cut them off if I didn't upcycle some foam and a shower curtain to make my own.

  Never bothered using the ones on mine. I just tucked them under the pad.

  Cutting them off....DUH! They have annoyed me for almost 3 years and we've not ever used them. Why did it never occur to me to amputate them?!? Thanks!

  I tucked them inside the change pad with the foam. If that makes any sense. I didn't want to cut them incase I do need them at some point. But they are inside the change pad so they don't scratch up the dresser.

  When DS was around 18 months old I used them for a couple of weeks when he was VERY wiggly. Otherwise I haven't found them to be useful at all

  I wrapped mine under the top of our changing table and used them to secure.  They are out of my way, but still there if I end up with a wiggly baby.

  1st BFP-8/17/12!  Missed Miscarriage discovered @ 8 week US.  D&C.
  2nd BFP-2/13/13!  Blighted Ovum discovered @ 8 week US. Natural miscarriage.
  3rd BFP-5/22/13!  By early June, progesterone plummeting.  Another loss.
  August 2013 - started Donor Egg process, but surprise BFP with my own eggs.

  I started changing him on the floor when he started the crocodile death spiral while changing. Just watch that you never step away if you go strapless.

  I use the straps but I also put the changing pad on a desk that has no railings, so it does slip and slide. I'm sure if I had a rubber stay put mat thing, I might not need to use it.

  We put a cooshy blanket on our table for DD and it worked way better than the pad. Plus no annoying straps.

  Never used them with my son and didn't notice that they had scratched up the dresser until it was too late. I cut them off immediately on the new baby's changing pad.
