So we have made it 15 months with no more then a few sniffles once or twice. The past two days DS has been a little cranky and slight runny nose, which we just chalked up to teething and the weather change. No fevers, and still eating and drinking like a a champ, so we never bothered calling the Pedi. Well today we had a routine check up for his 15 month immunizations, and the doctor informed us that DS had a mild ear infection. So this is why he had the runny nose, and a little moody the past 2 days. Our Pedi is a friend and co-worker of mine, so I felt like a super crappy mom/nurse. There were no signs, no pulling at his ears, no fevers, nothing besides 2 days of slight crankiness.
Amazing that we made it this long with no sickness, especially since DH and I both work in the medical field. I just feel a little bad that DS may have been in pain the past few days any I didn't even notice. Well tonight the flood gates have opened from DS nose!! See pic below!! Hoping the Amox kicks in and he starts feeling better soon!

Ear infections can be really tricky. And at least you know if he wasn't screaming, etc, it wasn't hurting him that badly. We, unfortunately, have dealt with many ear infections. But I still don't always catch them immediately.
