39 weeks and getting impatient!!

On Wednesday at my doctors appt, I found out that I'm 3 cm dilated, 90% effaced & baby is engaged. My Dr said he should make his appearance this weekend, which brought me to tears with excitement but now I just feel frustrated. Despite what's going on down below, (lol) I do not feel like this kiddo is coming any time soon. I try to keep busy during the day, but no matter what I do it feels like time is passing by sooo sloooow. The waiting game is getting to me, lol any one else feel the same frustration?

    Girl, I so feel you! Once I hit 39 weeks, it was like a race to get my son out. I started going on long walks, doing squats, having lots of sex (hahaha or at least trying, it wasn't particularly easy lol) and I rearranged my living room. NOTHING seemed to kick start labor. I got my membranes stripped and 2 hours later my water broke. I had my son that evening :)

    This time around, I'm getting a c-section so thankfully I have an end date!

    Lol I've tried walking, driving on bumpy roads, spicy foods, pineapple, nipple stimulation, sex, dancing... They all cause some contractions, but no labor yet!!! :/ The only enjoyable thing I can do is feel his wiggles and rolls! Sleep is nonexistent right now, so I guess that makes good practice for when he does decide to arrive!! Lol

    I mean-- you don't feel like your baby is going to born anytime soon?  You are 39 weeks pregnant. 

     At most, you have 3 weeks, and that's at the very most.

    I know the end is tough, try to maybe do some walking this weekend if you can-- it might help things along.  GL!

    It is normal to feel anxious at the end. Labor is going to happen sometime in the next 3 weeks one way or another.

    Not to be a downer but not even your doctor knows when your baby is going to come - could be tomorrow - could be in 3 weeks!

    Just relax and try not to stress on it - enjoy the last few days/weeks of pregnancy!
