Night wakeful parties

Ok here we are AGAIN! I am up in the middle of the night. The night meant for sleeping. With a child who wants to party and is currently chasing a balloon around the living room laughing. WTF! You are friggin exhausted by 7pm and go to bed. Wake every hour and a half until 1am and are probably up for 1.5-2hrs. Ladies is this normal or do we need to move naps around? Up between 7 am and 8am if I'm lucky, nap 1 around 11:30 am and if I'm lucky I can get a second nap around 4pm but not usually. Exhausted by 7pm. I know this has been talked about a lot, and by myself so I apologize I am just so tired and frustrated. DHs solution for all sleeping issues is to let her cry, when I don't do that I get no sympathy or support so I am frustrated with him too. Not a good time in our household right now.

  • I will also mention when she does go back to sleep she will be up every 1.5 -2 hrs until up for the day. Is it possible my supply has dropped (probably due to lack of sleep) and she is hungry and not getting enough food? She eats food at meal times as well

  • I don't want to say your supply has dropped cause it could be just fine. But DS has been sleeping much better since we switched to formula. He now takes a binky too, instead of using me. He is also sleeping in his crib. He still gets up 2 times, sometimes 3, but goes back to sleep in the crib.
But your supply could be just find and it could be a wonder week, but I'm not sure if I believe in the wonder week stuff. I hope you get some sleep soon.

  • @missymr what is a 2-3-4 schedule? @casey78 I am going to try that today. She is down for her nap at 10am and is still sleeping. So I don't know if she will go down again by 2 unless I wake her up. Would you wake her?
