Interesting doctor appointment...

I went to the doctors today for a routine appointment and to get the group B swab. Fun fun. So I'm nervous and self concious already because I have no idea what my vag looks like. Well, the doc comes in and just as he's lifting up the apron to do the swab he says
"Woah! That's a nasty..."
Cue freak out from me. Nasty what?!? Is it really that bad down there?!? Ahhhh!
I think he realized that he had said something to make me nervous because he quickly said
"... scar on your knee! What happened?"
I sighed with relief and the swab was over and explained my bad sports injury from last summer that split my knee wide open and I had to have surgeries and physical therapy to get it better.
Glad there wasn't anything else nasty down there... or at least the doc didn't mention it if there was... $:\$ ">

Ha! I'm pretty sure I would have drawn the same conclusion as you. Not a great way to start that when you're in that compromising position!!

Too funny, at first I was like "why would your Dr. be so callous?!" thank goodness he was talking about your scar. I had my GSB swab yesterday as well, DH was with me, I motioned with my fingers to keep his eyes locked with mine. Such an awkward situation but at least the midwife quickly did it and I could pull up my panties.

I didn't even give my scar a second thought! But for someone who sees it for the first time, it's probably a little shocking. I had a laugh about it in the car. I'm so glad I was by myself so my DH didn't see me blush for 30 mins afterwards!
