Baby shower venues in Hoboken area?

Hi fellow bumpies!  Anyone have any recommendations for a baby shower venue to fit 40-50 people in the Hoboken/JC area?  There will be people driving from Long Island & Hudson Valley, plus some people taking public transportation from NYC, so am looking for a place that is nearby parking AND public transit.  Does such a place exist??  Thanks so much for the recommendations!!

  • I had mine at The Brass Rail. I liked it, but there were a couple downsides.. It's in the upstairs room, so older guests have to climb stairs. And it was so hot.. This was in August and I asked twice for them to turn on the air, but it didn't help at all. Guests were sweltering. The Turtle Club in Hoboken is really cute and I think can seat around 40 - 45 people. I had a small party there. They reserve / close the back restaurant wine bar room and they took great care of us. Also, the same guys are opening a new place they were telling me about.. It's right on the Hudson River with skyline and water views. They were renovating it completely so not sure when it opens - but it's called Battello in Jersey City. https://www.facebook.com/battellorestaurant Looks like it's going to be nice and much bigger from the photos.

  • @briide2be2008 :  I absolutely love the Brass Rail upstairs room and would have it there in a heartbeat, except like you said it's not handicap-accessible and that's a must for our group.  Thanks for the tips about the Turtle Club and Battello though -- any idea on pricing for Turtle Club?

    Thanks!
  • @giggler25 - The event I had was seated. I think I had about 35 people. I honestly cannot remember exactly how much they charged. This was nearly a year ago, my hubby paid, and I have baby brain now :) But I remember they were willing to work with us for a daytime event.. There wasn't like a set price list. I would give them a call. Hope that helps!
