Cysts?

Good morning. Ugh, I feel frustrated abd defeated.

I went in for baseline u/s for IUI #2 and have 7 cysts, the largest measuring 34.
Needless to say, we're not proceeding with meds this cycle.
The nurse said to call at next cd1 unless my cycle goes longer than 35 days, since I'm typically fairly regular.
So, the cysts just go away? I know it's normal to have cysts, corpus luteum, blah blah, blah.
I guess I'm just wondering if I'll O as usualthis month? Any experiences?

I don't know about the cysts (I think they do just go away) but wanted to give you (((hugs))) because I know that sucks to have to cancel the cycle.

I'm sorry I know cyst suck!

I've had cyst in the past that have screwed up my cycle but I'm not sure what kind they were it was almost 20 yrs ago. My last medicated cycle I ended up with 2 cyst that were 30 and 22 I think. My dr had me take bc for two weeks and when I went back for an us my cyst were gone so I started another medicated cycle.

They gave me the option this time for bc or let them go away on their own. My dr told me the bc can make them go away quicker but he said I could just wait it out and come in on cd1 since I'm pretty regular too. From my understand he didn't think it would cause my cycle to be longer.

I'm so sorry! Mine (2) took longer than a cycle to resolve, but they were also about twice as big. I hope yours resolve right away.

When I had my cysts, I did O like normal (according to temps) but I have heard that they can produce estrogen and act like birth control. I don't know if that is common or not.

I'm so sorry, I know how awful that can be. I can't speak for the O'ing because I have PCOS so I haven't O'd on my own until recently. However, mine did go away, it took about 6 weeks, but were almost double yours. That might be why mine took so long, hopefully yours go away much quicker. Hopefully even though you have so many it wont take long for them to shrink because some are smaller. I remember how uncomfortable they can be so take it easy and don't over do it!

Last cycle I found out on CD3 that I had a cyst, so my RE wouldn't do any medication. They told me to wait for my next cycle to start and then to come back for an ultrasound. When I went in this cycle, the cyst was completely gone and we were able to proceed with a medicated cycle. I'm sorry you have a cyst - I know very well how disappointing and frustrating it is to find that out. I hope yours goes away quickly.

Thanks for the hugs, ladies.

I was wondering why bc want offered as an option because I see many of you mention it,but I'm glad to hear that bc wasn't always given. I was going to be hesitant to take it because I tend to get horrible headaches on it.
