Teething? Or just a cold

My 5 month 1 week old DS has

Watery eyes
Runny nose
Congestion
Cough
Random fussiness
Chews on his paci
(Been drooling and puts everything in his mouth for over a month)

And nothing else

Could be teething, a cold or both. With the drooling and such, I would say teething is probably a factor. Doesn't mean he'll cut a tooth anytime soon though.

What color is his snot? If it's clear, it could be allergies. It sounds more like a cold to me. He's approaching an age where he's more prone to get colds...just a heads up. I'm a STM. I felt like DD#1 was constantly battling colds or flus between 6 and 12 months. Then the frequencies of these illnesses tapered. Poor little guy. Hope he feels better soon.
