Morning Sickness :(

Is anyone past the morning sickness phase and into the "I feel great!" phase??? If so, when did that happen? I'm 13w2d and I don't expect a miracle but I'm DYING here. My nausea has kicked up a notch over the past week, it's worse than it has been at any point leading up to now. I took a Zofran today and even that didn't work. WTF!!

Thanks for letting me vent! Just looking for some encouragement and hope that it gets better!

Re: Morning Sickness :(

  • I think I started feeling better generally last week.  But everyday there is some reminder that things are not back to normal.  The last couple of days have been the first days where I actually feel "great" (15w1d)!  Although I battled nausea I never threw up.  I hope you feel better soon.

  • I am not. With DS I didn't get there until I was 3-4 weeks into 2nd tri so I expect it to be the same way this time around.

I'm still tired but I can deal with that and I can deal with RLP compared to nausea. The nausea subsided two days ago. Let's hope it stays that way. I'm sure you'll start feeling better any day now!

My morning sickness also got worse the last two weeks. I had taken zofran previously and it didn't work so I stopped. Went to the doctor today and was prescribed Diclegis. Apparently it is a new prescription version of unisom and B16 (or 6 or something can't remember). Also it is a class A drug which is a huge bonus. Gonna try it starting tonight (they gave me samples) and see how it makes me feel.

Edit: meant to add....maybe your doc can prescribe this to try.  Hope you feel better soon.
  • My morning sickness got so bad my Dr prescribed me B6 vitamins and Unisom. I've gained back the weight I lost and I'm feeling better. While taking that I have to constantly eat healthy. Now that I'm in my second trimester I want to try taking prenatal vitamins again.

  • I've been feeling better since 10w2d. I am definitely still exhausted and I have random, bouts of nausea, but nothing as debilitating like weeks 6-10. I'm sure you know this, but try frequent, small meals, and ginger or lemon water or sucking on mints/candies.

I really hope you feel better soon.

  • Mine comes and goes. If I don't eat right away I get sick. No matter if it is pasta or an apple. Mine comes also at night if I eat too late and then go to bed. So the last few nights I have learned not to eat late and expect to just lay down. Stress is also a HUGE factor for me. So I have to try to relax more on days leading up to appoiments.

  • I was nauseated all the time and started throwing up at around week 10. I called my OB and she prescribed Diclegis. Almost no nausea since then. I'm sure it doesn't work for everyone, but you may want to talk to your doc about it. You can even go to their website and print a coupon so you don't pay more than $30 for this $400+ drug.

  • Thanks all! I take Unisom, b6 and zofran "cocktails" but sometimes that just isn't enough. I'll just try to be patient and stay positive! Appreciate all the support :)
  • I was feeling much better around 10w.. No naseau or vomiting. I'll be 15w tomorrow and I haven't been able to keep anything down all week. I've lost 10lbs since my first ob appointment so I'm kind of worried. :/
  • Well I'm still feeling sick and it's all day and worse at night when it's tea time.I had 10 weeks of it last time with my first (now 7) but I'm 12 wks and it's still going I just eat lots of ginger that takes the edge of things and try not to travel far. I'm figured that it's not for much longer and just feel that if I'm feeling this way things must be going right xxx
  • My nausea wasn't too bad for the last few weeks of the first trimester, but the exhaustion was worse than ever. I started feeling much better around week 13.
