Emmett has been eating finger foods for a while now. He loves them! However, I've also been giving him purees on top of that since I want to make sure that he is getting enough fruits and veggies. Those of you who are feeding LO chunks or finger foods, are you still giving purees as well?
Re: Are you still feeding purees?
My LO eats a lot of cheerios and puffs and usually wants to try whatever I am eating which I am not the healthiest eater on the planet. I have tried giving him diced apples carrots and bananas but no interest. He has actually just started fighting me on puree's too I was going to put up a post to see if anyone else little ones where fight them. (thanks to a certain family member who hates feeding him... : ( ) So I am at a loss I have been trying to feed stage 2's once or twice a day and a stage one because he just isn't interested.
What are some good finger foods you all are feeding?
This. Plus my LO seems to gag on just about all finger foods except puffs and yogurt melts, sometimes to the point of vomiting. She hasn't quite mastered chewing yet, but I keep offering finger foods to her with the hope that one of these days she will figure it out!
Thanks ladies! It seems like most people are feeding a mixture of purees and finger foods.
For those of you whose LOs are fighting you on purees; will they eat them if they feed themselves? Emmett started to fight me a bit, but does a lot better with them if I let him feed himself.
Ill offer him some finger foods to start (usually what we are eating for dinner in little pieces), let him pick at them, and then do the pouch, then finish off with a finger food he loves like melts or frozen waffle pieces.
