Easter Egg Basket Suggestions

In place of LO's Easter "basket" we ordered this:

DS is not a candy eater, and I wanted to put eggs in his basket, I just don't know what I could fill them with. Other things that'll be going in there is a coloring book, big crayons, sidewalk chalk, a toothbrush, beach towel and swimming trunks. I figured he could use this pail on the beach throughout the Summer, so I may throw a shovel in there. Is there anything you would add or take away? Also, do you have any recommendations on what I can replace candy with as far as fillers for the eggs?

Re: Easter Egg Basket Suggestions

  • stickers! DD loves them, they would fit good inside the eggs.
  • Loading the player...
  • Little things of bubbles...I found them at Walmart to put into the eggs I'm sending in for DS2's class egg hunt.  They fit perfectly in the eggs.  Stickers would be good, too.  Packs of gummies (not sure if you allow gummies, they're a definite treat for DS2) also fit in them if you kind of fold the bag.  If he likes Match Box cars, some of the eggs we have will hold a car.  I also found some cute trinkets at Walmart with the other Easter stuff.
  • We aren't doing candy ether. I bought a stuffed bunny, target has easter themed straw sippy cups, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and a few other things that i cant think of.
  • Goldfish crackers could go in the eggs. We have sunglasses, a puzzle, placemat, watering can, and board book for our Easter basket.

  • My son loves puzzles so we put puzzle pieces in the eggs and the empty boards in the basket so as he finds the pieces he can complete the puzzles. We also did stickers. and a few pool/bath toys

I love the goldfish crackers idea! I may do that, thank you!

  • Yogurt covered raisins? DD loves those. They are a treat, but not quite as bad as candy for you. ;)
