I am usually able to do that as well. From what I've heard a pump is just not as effective as a baby, so you can expect a pump not to fully empty like a baby would.

Like do people actually hand express into vessels? Am I supposed to do that? Every time I've tried I feel like I fail miserably or do it incorrectly or something.
The nurse at my mom's group shared this video about hand expression & pumping in general. https://newborns.stanford.edu/Breastfeeding/MaxProduction.html I guess some people do collect hand expressed milk. I'm not particularly skilled at it, but if you watch the video they do have people that do that.

Lol at vessel. Sounds like a body that has been snatched and possessed by aliens.
I do squeeze my boobs into the pump bottle when I'm done. Tons of milk comes out! You should try it. See what you can get
I only manual express milk. I hated the pump the first weeks with my first, started hand expressing and just did that this time around. Makes it easy to quicky pump wherever, whenever. I'm quite good at it at this point!
Re: Pump vs hand expression
Also, I'm cracking up because TB is showing this ad for this thread. Wrong kind

I'm in the same boat currently. I'm down about 3oz/day when I work. Which puts me about 5oz shy for the next day. It's a vicious cycle.
