I often complain about my devil spawn child and offer to sell her on Facebook to the lowest bidder. I still maintain that there are days where that seems to be the only option for my sanity. And then I have mornings like this.
It wasn't a particularly amazing morning - I still had to bribe her with stickers to pry my phone out of her grubby little mitts so I could get her out of my bed and into her room to get dressed. And then she put on her undies (brand new My Little Pony ones - Applejack, to be specific) and pulled them up high over her belly button - so I did the only thing a good parent would do - taught her to say, in the appropriate nasal-y voice "Did I do thaaat?"
And then, in the car on the way to school, her Pandora Yo Gabba Gabba station (which has been taken over by Jackson 5 and Harry Belafonte because they are her new favorites and she makes sure I hit the Thumbs Up icon whenever they are on) played Brown Eyed Girl, which is now Our Song. (We both have brown eyes, so I'm her brown eyed girl, and she is mine)
Who knows what will happen today, but I call those two things parenting wins
