They can't bring it back, bc three out of the four characters are dead, but I love The Golden Girls. Hilarious and ahead of it's time in so many ways. I can watch it over and over.
Oh well, at least Danny Tamberelli and Michael C. Maronna started doing a monthly podcast last year, so it's the next best thing. :-)
ETA: They've also been doing cast reunions lately, and I went to one at the Bowery Ballroom two years ago, all the main cast was there, plus some minor characters (Damien Young who was bus driver Stu, as well as the actors who played Teddy and I think Monica) we're in the audience. And The Blowholes played a bunch of Polaris songs in their first ever live performance. So that was probably even better than if they'd brought the show back to TV. :-D
I wish ABC didn't cancel Cougar Town! It moved to TBS but then I could never watch it again. I don't even know if it's still on anymore but I loved that show so much!
There was some weird lawyer show that lasted like half a season about first year associates in a corporate firm. Apparently, I was the only one who watched it because it lasted like 6 episodes. Hey, I was in law school at the time, it was fitting!! Plus I just want to fit my superlative.
@Sagen I love that show!! I binge watched the entire first season on Netflix not realizing there was only one. It was a sad day when I went to start season two
I like happy endings too! (that sounded bad LOL) Even tho I am not from Canada there was a show called Being Erica there that I loved, I was hoping they would make an American one but it never happened. I also loved Private Practice and Teen Mom 1 (I am shameless) and probably Desperate Housewives (But Devious Maids does do well taking its place)
I know it JUST ended this week but I am seriously bummed about it: Being Human. It was on Syfi channel and I felt like I spent the past 5 seasons invested in this show and it just kind of ended....happily. Really? Nothing about that show was ever happy, it was all about conflict so I was confused on why they just let everyone be left with the happy ending. I am used to shows ending and leaving you wondering WTF!?
Other shows I wish that were still on: The OC, ER and Friends

The Waltons. I totally wish they would update it with characters being 40 years older just to see what happened to them all.
I love that you said this because it reminds me of my Nana. And I don't mean that as a dig in the slightest. I loved my Nana so much and miss her to this day! (She passed in 2005.) Her favorite shows were The Waltons, Highway to Heaven, Wheel of Fortune and Baywatch. Yes. She watched Baywatch, lol.
Firefly - hands down! What other show could get cancelled in the middle of the first season and yet have such a following that a movie had to be made? And it ranks as one of the top sci-fi movies at that.
Also a shout out to Dollhouse, Farscape, Chuck and, here's one I doubt anyone here has heard of but Fullmetal Alchemist.
I miss Arrested Development. I watched the DVD of season 1 in the hospital during labor. Those Bluths really helped me ignore some of those freaking contractions.
Desperate housewives. It totally threw off my Sunday night routine when it ended. I also miss happy endings, and gossip girl.
I rewatched the entire series last year on Netflix. I was home on mat. leave for 7 months. The ladies of Wisteria Lane helped me so much with my baby blues. Seriously!
I, of course, watched Pete & Pete while in labor. Episodes from seasons 1 and 2 on DVD while I was at home, then season 3 episodes (which are not available on DVD, the DVDs are made and sitting in a warehouse somewhere, but they can't sell them due to music rights issues or some such nonsense) on YouTube on my phone at the hospital.
I watched the Phillies vs. Giants in the 2010 NL series while laboring with DS1. Labor came on so quickly with DS2 that I don't remember having a chance to watch anything. I was also in the "walking and scaring everyone else" camp!!!

First round of Clomid in May 2012= BFP #1, DD born January 2013
BFP #2 in January 2014, DS born September 2014
Idea for a Bumpapalooza event: Drunk Pete & Pete marathon? ;-)

V. That show about aliens? Yeah. I loved the shit out of that show. I was really disappointed they canceled it after 2 seasons.
I also liked Dollhouse, though I felt like it actually had an "ending." Like, the story wasn't just left hanging.
Sort of a GP show, but Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 wasn't terrible.

DS1: Quinn - 10.22.10 and DS2: Cole - 01.18.13
DS I watched ESPN. When I asked my DH seriously looked around and announced that "this is HER choice".
with DD everything was so fast there was no time for tv...or a real room either.
