WTF - Alabama Interracial Marriage and Adoption

WTF, AL? GA is not much better, but this guy, Alvin Holmes, had some pretty stupid things to say, and apparently in 2000, there was a bill to repeal a law in AL to forbid interracial marriage, and it only won by a 60/40 split.

Even if he is only pointing out a sad reality in AL, I still think it was a dumb thing for him to say. I am just floored and saddened that anyone today would vote against interracial marriage or be opposed to interracial adoption. On what grounds? And his comment about 99% of politicians making their daughters get an abortion if she was pregnant with a black baby - what an awful thing to say and despicable if anyone actually feels that way.

He's a Democrat, and there's a proposed bill in AL to make abortions illegal after a heartbeat is detected, and I guess he thought his statements would make white pro-lifers reconsider their abortion stance at the thought of "oh no, what if my daughter gets KU by a black person, and she's not able to get an abortion?" He appears to be black or mixed race himself, so maybe he is speaking from his own experience of feeling discriminated against in AL, but I still think it's sad if people feel that way.

@AuburnGirlSC‌, I'm glad people are proving him wrong. Maybe he was trying reverse psychology? Or maybe he just says dumb things.
