Our little Brynn came into this world VERY quickly weighing 7 pounds 9 ounces and 21.5 inches long.

I woke up Tuesday(4/8) morning at 4:30 feeling crampy and kind of sick. I had an appointment at 10:20 that morning and told my midwife I was starting to feel contractions but they were still really far apart and not painful. She did an internal and I was dilated to a 3, so she stripped my membranes, told me to go home and walk. We got home around 1 and I did laundry and played with DD1 outside. My contractions were getting a little stronger but I was still talking and walking through them. At 9:45 I text my sister and told her to head to my house so she could stay with DD because I thought we would need to be going in within an hour or 2, by the time my sister got there around 10:15 I was already in the car wanting to leave RIGHT then because I couldn't take it anymore. My contractions were about 6-7 minutes apart at this point but becoming increasingly worse. About half way to the hospital I was having one contraction on top of another, it was intense. We got to the hospital about 11:10 and by that time the intense pain was about gone but I was having a ton of pressure. They took me back to labor and delivery and the nurse checked me, I was at a 9 and water bulging. They called the midwife in and she broke my water, she told me to just let her know when I needed to push. I pushed for about 5 minutes and she was here! The nurse said it was 20 minutes between the time they hooked up the contraction and heart rate monitor to the time that she was born.

Her forehead and eye lids are bruised from hitting my pelvis so quickly. I had planned on a med free birth but thought it would last MUCH longer than it did. I am so incredibly happy with this delivery. I feel wonderful and she is latching wonderfully at this point. I will upload a picture as soon as I can but mobile won't let me.
