HUGE?

So what is up with all these people telling me that I'm "HUGE!!!!"? I'm 5'2" and kind of petite, gained about 25-30 lbs and the doc says that I'm "measuring perfectly". I swear, if people want to ask me about the pregnancy, they should just say something nice... like "when are you due?" or "are you having a boy or a girl" or something... not "wow, you're huge"... come on

obviously all I care about is having a healthy baby and I'm ignore these people, but definintely needed to vent!

I'm 5'2, 38 wks, and have gained 50 lbs. I am ready to TP most people at this point. I hate going to work for this exact reason.

Such people should be ignored. I hate comments like that but I got used to them until DD was born.

People always feel like they have to say something, and unfortunately they end up saying something inappropriate. Someone on another board I post on called pregnancy a "filter-killer", which sounds pretty accurate to me :-) Just ignore them.

It doesn't bother me. When people see you all the time thin and then bigger by 25-30 pounds you probably do look huge to them. I just ignore them.

And yes I get it I am 5'2 very small frame. I was 130 when I delivered my second and I got comments like that all the time. I just ahhh it will come off easy.

FTM here and I'm 5'4, slim and all belly. I get the HUGE reaction too at work but what I say is well "I believe that is part of the process of having a healthy baby". Then that person will shut the hell up...mostly women who had not had babies yet. I don't take offense, some people don't know any better nor when to shut up when he/she don't think before speaking. I know I look and feel great considering that my weight is controlled but eating healthy. Thank goodness I am not bloated all over.

I am 5'5" I am all belly. Two other people I know are due April and may me June. We took a pic together and I am bigger than them. People think I am either having twins or 8 months pregnant. I am fine how I am Dr is not worries so neither am I.

2 months before my due date, with my first (!!!) a lady at a store told me she was going to call 911 when she saw me. I literally had gained probably 15-20 lbs at that pint & by no means was I anything huge, but people get it in where they can I guess! I'm athletic build so there's no mistaking I was preg, but to act like I needed an ambulance cause I was SO pregnant was ridiculous! for whatever reason with my second & third, compliments are all I've heard. it's weird!

4' 11" here and all baby belly as well. I agree, going to work is a pain just because I hear this all day long. Even some of my male coworkers have said "How do you not just murder people all day in passing?" LOL!

I said something like, "Thanks for destroying the last shred of self esteem I have!" with a smile and a thumbs up and the commenter retracted and said that I wasn't huge but the baby is getting bigger. Um, thanks.
