Re: Torticollis

  • DD had it. She started PT at 6 months and "graduated" at 10 months. She did not need the helmet although I did pick one out just in case. I don't have any then and now pics here at work I'll put some up when I get home. She was on a 80 degree angle on her left side.

I was just wondering if anyone else lo had it. My dd got diagnosed at 3 mths and she went for a year and its almost 100% now and I can't tell. My friend dd had to wear the helmet and she still has it a little bit since it wasn't diagonis early enough.

  • We have a friend that's son had to wear the helmet. Not sure for how long though I know he had it on his first birthday. The specialist who diagnosed DD told me that she would have gross motor delays, but she was done with PT early and you'd never know except if it was mentioned. She started gymnastics right after being discharged to help continue to strengthen her one side.

  • We also take her to ballet and soccer. She is a lot stronger but we still notice little things. Big improvement from when she was diagnosed
