Cold's while not pregnant stink....Cold's while pregnant stink even more. Started last night and today I feel awful......

Don't want to use days but I'm not sure I can make it through the week, I'm even allergic to sudafed and can't take anything.....

Hope it goes away fast.

    I feel you! I've been sick since Thursday and have been miserable! I've used Sudafed and robitussin but both haven't done much. Cough drops (sugar free) do temporarily clear me up though, you should try those.

    Hope you feel better! I got what I initially thought was a cold, but turned out to be the most vicious sinus infection I've ever had. I couldn't breathe or sleep from the congestion. It's been about a week and I'm finally getting better (with the help of antibiotics).

    @SMM1986....sounds awful. I'm hoping this one stays as a cold but my 2 year old has the same thing (you know cuz sharing with mommy was important) and she started with a nasty cough today :(

    Both my kids are getting sniffly, I just hope whatever they are getting doesn't progress to how bad mine was.
    I used a neti pot and it was the most effective (couldn't take meds because my bp had spiked). Also used the humidifier in our room.
    And my nose was so raw from blowing that I started putting nipple cream on it. Worked awesome.

    That sucks, feel better soon!

    Do you have a pseudoephedrine allergy? You'd be the only other person I know who does, if so. Makes it really difficult to take things when sick or having allergy issues! So frustrating.

    Yes it's an add allergy no sudafed or guefensen which mucinex. So I just have to play it out. Didn't sleep much last night.....we shall see how the day goes.

    I know the fewlimg ! I'm now on my second round of antibiotics and had to have an abcess drained this morning that the doctor said was probably a staph infection that has been inhibiting the sinusitis and bronchitis i have from clearing up.

    Ugh, I don't think I've ever had a worse cold than the one I had in the wintertime while pregnant! I also would suggest Sudafed and Vicks! I slathered that stuff on my chest, the bottoms of my feet, and a teeny bit under my nose. That burned like crazy at first, but it really helped me to breathe better while sleeping! Feel better!
