  You don't need an agency local to you, you can use any agency in any part of the county.  I'm not sure if they're Houston based, but I'm with Surrogate Solutions, and I checked out Simple Surrogacy.  I can recommend other agencies in other states if you're interested.  My best advice is to read reviews on surrogate websites (surromomsonline.com and allaboutsurrogacy.com).

  I'm in MO, there are NO surrogacy agencies in MO.  Last time I used one in CHI.  This time I'm with one in TX and one in WI.  Your attorney needs to be local to make sure that everything's legal when you give birth.

  My agency was not local to me too, I am in CA & my agency is in MA.
  
  My attorney was also not local to me with my last Surro journey or this one. My agency set me up with my attorney both times & I loved them both times.

  Wow, I'm surprised Doula, I had a local attorney to make sure that our contract was written for our state (and all attorneys recommended to me were in state).  Maybe that was just my former agency's policy.  

  
  

  I do still recommend using an attorney that is licensed in your area and thoroughly knows the laws in your state.
