Reduced Daycare Price for Second Child?

Do any of your daycares offer a reduced cost for the second child?

I feel like this is something I have heard of happening.  We are talking about baby #2 coming along in 2015.  We will probably move our daughter into a center/preschool environment (she is in a small home daycare now) at about the same time.  I don't know if entering them into the same daycare at the same time would mean that #2's price is reduced or if we would have #1 in the new daycare for a while in order for it to "count".

Sorry if this questions makes zero sense and thanks for any feedback.  :)

Our daycare gives a 10% discount off the lower tuition for 2+ children enrolled full-time.  I think that if a daycare offered a discount it would apply as soon as you had both kids in there, no waiting period.

  • We get a 10% off tuition for the oldest (and therefore cheapest) child.  It's a discount automatically no matter how long you've been at the DC.  We enrolled both kids at the same time

    same here exactly

My DC only offers a 5% discount and it's on the cheaper tuition which is the older child.

We have the exact same deal at our daycare.

  • 10% seems pretty standard for day care, camps, pre-schools, etc
  • We get 15% off our TOTAL bill for having two kids enrolled and it doesn't matter how long they've been enrolled.

  • Thanks, everyone!  It is nice to have an idea of what to expect.

  • No discount offered at our center, unfortunately.

  • In my area, the discount is generally 5-10% off the cheaper of the two tuitions and most places do offer a discount. However, in my area, many preschools don't offer infant care, probably because the licensing requirements for caring for kids under 2 are so much more strict, so a lot of families find themselves using two childcare locations and thus no discount. But if you have a place that takes both infants and preschoolers, then there's usually a sibling discount.

This is same for us so long as both kids are registered as full time. Our daycare has a part time option (less them 31 hours, $7 per your) as well
