Selling a house with toddler!

I know few have moved with baby/toddler, how on earth did you do it!  We just got a storage unit to get rid of some of the clutter for when we do put it on the market, but there is baby clutter everywhere!   I'm overwhelmed, we gave ourselves until May 1, then it's going on the market.

How did you do it?  Did you clean up every day in the morning, just in case you had a showing?

Re: Selling a house with toddler!

  • I made little grouping of toys put them in atub. When playing we only got out that tub then put it away before pulling out another. And we decluttered every by half. All clothes toys furniture stuff in cabinets at least 50 percent were put in storage. Vacuumed mopped and cleaned bathrooms and laundry every night after the kids were asleep. Kitchen cleaned after every meal. I also did as much outside playing as possible to keep the mess out of our house. But if I couldn't then I kept our playing to one floor so at least I'd only have to pick it up on quick notice. Put a basket by the door to out things you are unable to pick up in time so you can just put the stuff in there and take it out to the car as you leave for the day or a showing. And a sense of humor. There was once a time I quickly chased ds2 before we left and forgot to put the stinky diaper in the trash before we left. I am sure the ppl loved seeing that when they toured out home. GL.

  • navy&violet what you said is very helpful.  I think we are moving a lot of toys to my parents, they watch him daily, leaving a few toys at our house.
