False positive for lupus?

So I got my blood test results back today and my doctor said I tested positive for lupus and have a thyroid issue. She said it might be a false positive caused by pregnancy hormones but so far none of my friends with kids have ever tested positive for lupus during pregnancy. Have you ever heard of this?

    Oh wow scary. So sorry. My mom has a friend that they said she had lupus now for over 10 yrs. has been treated for it to for that long. Come to find out she doesn't have it. Omg. Took 10 yrs to find out she never had it.

    Sorry nothing to do with pregnancy but scary.

    I have not heard of anyone that had it or had false positives during pregnant.

    While this is not totally common, it does happen. There is something during pregnancy that can cause results that show lupus. Did your doc say to retest a few months after the baby is born?
