Hi everyone. I'm not quite sure if I fit here, but I don't really feel like I fit anywhere. So I'm sorry if this is not the right place.
We started TTC in early 2010 with suspected endometriosis. I also have JRA (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis) so when I'm TTC I can't be on meds and it goes out of remission and does more damage.
We started testing after 6m TTC/9m charting when I had really long cycles and short LP. DH doesn't have great S/As and I had low progesterone. We were lucky to conceive on our 2nd cycle of femara with progesterone. DS1 was a preemie at 33w and is now 2.5.
We never prevented, but AF didn't come back until he was 18m. We TTC right away and were shocked to conceive with just progesterone support after 3 cycles. I had terrible HG and had a pump for Zofran and a PICC for IV fluids daily at home. I lost an average of 4lbs a week in 1st tri, and 2lbs a week in 2nd tri. At 18w we were told after an ultrasound that the ventricles in his brain were enlarged. Normal is 5-8mm, and Noah's were 18. He has a cyst in his brain that prevented the cerebellum from forming and what was left of his brain was being crushed by the cyst and the fluid. There was no hope of survival and I was induced at 20w.
We are TTC again, and are at the end of our 5th cycle. (I expect AF any minute.) I have seen an RE and we have started testing again. At my u/s they found that my left ovary is significantly smaller than it should be, and has scar tissue. I'm having CD 3 b/w, and an HSG this coming week, and DH will get another S/A. Depending on those results, we'll either do clomid or IUIs. I'm pretty overwhelmed right now. We have IF testing coverage, but no treatment coverage.
If this isn't the right place, let me know. I was trying to decide between TTTC and here, but I know it's hard when you have living children to fit in on boards where most people don't.
