depends on your weight, height and activity level. I think on average it is 300 extra calories, so if you normally consume 1800 then 2100. If you are physicaly active then you may need to consume a few more so that your supply does not drop too much.
I heard it also depends on the size of your baby. My mom's OB (who used to be mine before I moved) said nursing a big baby (like my 25 lb guy) can require up to 900 extra calories per day. Although hearing this might be why I'm still holding onto 15 lbs.
