I'm new. Intro!

Hey there :)
I am new to this board but I have been active in TB for a few years (sometimes more than others). At the moment I post mostly in the PGAL (pregnant after a loss) board. I hope to be able to be active in here as well!

About me: I got married in 2010, and I wasn't very into babies, I didn't want to be a mother! But I had a problem in October with my contraceptive method and 9 months later, my life was totally different for good. I love my son and I feel the luckiest person in the world. Not only I went from want to be child-free to be a mother, also a couple of years after I wanted to repeat! And this is when the sad story starts... I lost 2 babies, one in January and another one in July at 14 weeks. I has been a hard time but now I am finally pregnant and everything seems to be ok :) My due date is funny, it is my son's birthday!

Also I am from Canada :)

I have a couple of friends in Montreal. I am a terrible friend, three years in here and I haven't gone to visit them...

@soxfan777 I remember you very well, sad we are both in this situation... But still lucky we are pregnant, and we are parents. I have a couple of friends that haven't been that lucky... Is funny why I remember you: I am not religious but the last phrase in your siggy made me cry the other day...
I hope it really works. I am 39 at this point and this is really my "last shot" to try to give my son a sibling... Hugs.

@voplo I didn't make you cry, but I find that phrase touching, too.  Glad to see us both here.  I'm 35, so older but not 39... I'm glad you're so far along.  Does the worry dissipate as the pregnancy progresses?  I hope it does, but I also think of all the other women on here who have lost babies and it's so unfair.  Anyway, I need to focus on the positive.  Easier said than done, right?  But we can try!

@soxfan777 The worry doesn't really go away, at least not for me, but it eases a lot. I find the first trimester brutal. After we had the anatomy ultrasound (at 19 weeks) life was much easier. We bought some new things and allowed ourselves to tell to friends and friends of friends, although we haven't make any "announcement". I got a doppler because this baby is not very active and I get a bit of stress after not feeling him/her for a while and that helps a lot. I use it 2-3 times at week and it is more than enough to keep me going until she/he decides to start kicking more often :) Now that  am 6 months pregnant, I am just looking forward and try to enjoy the rest of pregnancy until the little monkey decides to come out :)
