Total AW: 9 Month Checkup

We had DD's 9 month appt today. Dr says that whatever we are doing to keep it up. He says developmentally she is like a 7 to 8 month old and the PT and OT is helping her so much. He was very pleased with her ears and they look great. (Generally kids with Ds have small everything and end up with lots of health issues). DD is very lucky to have none. She has only ever had 2 colds (which I got both of and she was not fazed by them like I was).
He said socially she is amazing... Right where she is supposed to be. She loves all kids and even kissed 2 boys last week. She is on the small side but it is of no concern since on the Ds chart she is right around 50th%. I only hope she does not end up like the guy on Bettlejuice with the shunken head since she is in the 1% for head size. She is going to be my little pixie girl.
We have to see no specialists and to come back for her 12 month check up. We keep saying that she is going to surprise us with what she can do and well she keeps surprising us.

DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
