I will be 13 weeks on Wednesday. I have had 24/7 morning sickness. My nausea wakes me up at night. I don't always vomit but I am always queasy. I can not stand the thought of food and sometimes even liquid. I started out in the first few weeks being able to eat even when feeling sick. At about 6-7 weeks that changed. I have only been eating what sounds the least repulsive. Sometimes that is just a baked potato with sour cream, sometimes it is a plain quesadilla from Taco Bell. Mornings are usually toast or yogurt. I do not eat much fruit or vegetables. I find the thought of fruit and vegetables nauseating and if I force myself to eat the things that make me sick to think of eating, I end up throwing up. My doctor gave me Zofran, but I don't find it very effective. I take my prenatals every night before bed with a little milk (dr recommended way to take them) but I am concerned with the lack of fruit and vegetables, and that I may be doing my baby harm.
Re: No appetite concerned about nutrition
Thank you ladies! It is so nice to hear from others who have experienced this and have babies that are doing well
I just came back on to give it another chance and I'm glad I saw your post. Don't worry...babies take the nutrients from your body so it's really more you that suffers from lack of nutrients. I'm still nauseous most of the time and vomit sporadically but it's worth it. It's so much better in comparison to before that I really can't complain. Enjoy and marvel at the fact that there's a teeny tiny baby in there...how cool is that?!
