TTM about sun protection

This has been mentioned recently on the board, but I wanted to get some more advice from moms who have btdt.

This weekend we'll be visiting friends in our college town and plan to go to the spring football game. The weather should be beautiful; clear and sunny with a high around 80.

My initial thought was to wear DS in a carrier and sit in the shade during the game. I'd dress him in a onesie, maybe shorts, and a wide-brimmed hat. Does this seem like it would be good enough to protect him/keep him cool? Or should I get something like swimwear that protects against UV rays?

Has anyone used something like this before? Is it worth getting? We live in GA and last week when it warmed up poor DS was getting all sweaty every time he was in his car seat. I wonder if a cover like this would help.
