Adnoids out?

Any of you have children that had their adnoids out?  We are scheduled Monday and I just talked to the doc about post op.. sounds like it could be a LONG week..

    We just had DD in for her second set of tubes and adenoids taken out. She was a total champ...seemed back to herself later that day. I think it was harder on me ans the hubs than on her. They are so resilient, it's amazing. We were on a tylenol regimen for the following few days, but that was it. Good luck. :) I know it's hard, but it'll all be ok!

    I had them and my tonsils out in second grade. I don't remember anything bad. I think I recovered pretty quickly. Scratchy throat was really all. GL!

    Did you get the fever they are talking about?  How about the rotting meat smell?

    She normally is a super champ and doctors have commented more then once about her happiness despite illness so I think she'll be ok - but I'm 3 months pregnant and the smell scares me (lol) and we often have breathing issues with her when fevers spike.  She'll be at my parents instead of daycare but I just worry...
