    Sorry, I know we've moved on, but what? I am from Omaha, too, and while OBVIOUSLY you shouldn't say colored (is that even a thing people say anymore EVER??) I've never heard of someone getting shot for calling someone black, unless something awful preceded or followed it. I've never even heard that you shouldn't say it.   I grew up in North O and in very racially diverse areas and it's the term of choice for most people (along with African American). For example, my brother's fiancee is black and she's not African American. She's from St. Martin. And this isn't just me assuming; she's corrected people.  
    It was way back in the day when it happened and all that was ever released on the news was that guy A was shot for calling guy B black. Who knows with the news media what really happened but I remember this story because at the time I had a very good friend who lived right on the edge of North Omaha and my grandmother who I lived with at the time wouldn't let me go to her house anymore. I was in I think 9th or 10th grade because I couldn't drive yet so this was oh gosh like 1997-1998ish. Guess it is way further back in years then my memory would like to admit. 

    I never lived in North Omaha so I don't know what the terms were there but where I grew up they preferred African American. I just don't call anyone anything besides their given name and then there is no problems to solve on what to call someone. 

    The Omaha/Metro area is very diverse and that is why I love living in this area because my children are exposed to lots of different cultures. That is one plus side to this crappy weather (as shown earlier) state.

    MamCBear is who started saying I was the captain of the SS Love Tit, If you were around earlier I said its a pretty purple boat with hot pink lettering ;) I made @SSM the captain of our cheer squad. That and she wants to be a "flyer" whatever that means. I told her she could just to make her happy. I am captain of the boat so I can't be captain of the team as well. Speaking of team I need to recruit some more girls, its only me and @SSM right now.I am SO sorry that you are that tired, I remember that sleep depravation from back in the early weeks. HUGS!!!!

    I do this too... The bathroom is my quiet place to be alone ( well at least when DH is home.) He must think I have some serious stomach issues lately because I'll say I have to pee but I'll sit in there for 15 minutes just to have a moment to myself!!

    I have a bathrobe I HAD to have it, never use it. It just hangs there. Both of my older kids had them from birth till like age 6 and they used them some but not what they were worth $ wise. I won't get one this time unless I find one second hand. They are for some reason one of those odd things you think you need to have so badly but never use.

    I have piles of clothes to organize but can't seem to find the time.

    LO got one as a gift and I put it on her twice because I felt like if someone went to the trouble to pick it out for her than she should wear it but really it just pissed her off.

    I was just joking with DH that I'm probably pregnant too because Ive had first tri exhaustion the last few nights and crazy hormones.

    I am sooo sick of BCP. I'm on my second type now and still having issues. I'm only starting the second week now and I swear my period is on its way again. I'm crampy and so depressed today.

    Could be. Probably all these fucking meds my neuro doc has me on. Speaking of which. I needed to reschedule my follow up. But can't because he's going to be out of town for the rest of the month so he calls me for a follow up. He has a really think Indian accent. He asks me how they are working. But filled me up with lots of meds and I'm not sleeping and eye twitches now...     I would maybe try and get a second opinion, but maybe it is your body just adjusting to the new meds? I hope the twitch goes away soon, I had one while pregnant and they are NO fun.
