Do you believe Oscar Pistorius

I watched the story a few weeks ago on Dateline I believe and I just don't believe him. From what I understand the part of the city in S. Africa that he lives in has a lot of house break-ins, so having a gun in the house is not unheard of. He's claiming that he heard noise coming from inside of the bathroom in the middle of the night and the first thing he assumed was that it was a burglar. If I remember correctly he claims to have called out to his gf,but he didn't hear her, so he shot through the bathroom door not thinking that it was her in there. I dont' buy it. If he was calling out to her, but didn't hear her, why didn't he try opening the door, if it's a burglar you have a gun and the door shouldn't be locked, if it's your gf then the door might be locked or if it's not, the worse you've done is walk in on her on the toilet.

I always want to believe the person being accused. But I don't think I believe him. It's the most scratch your head worthy reason. If I hear a noise at night and DH isn't in bed, I'll assume it's him. Maybe investigate to see what he's doing in the middle if the night, but go shooting through doors... Um no.

I haven't been following closely but I absolutely do not believe him. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly but I'm pretty sure neighbors heard arguing. That and the fact that she was in there with the door locked. I don't know about you but I don't lock the bathroom door when I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. But I would lock the door if I was hiding from my crazy abusive BF. I wasn't totally paying attention but I thought they also said she was in an interior part of the bathroom.
