Is it a good Hospital for labor and delivery? How many private rooms
do they have?? I would love some feedback and some experiences that are
more current that what is posted on this site.
I plan to deliver there in October. I did a lot of research as some of the best hospitals are just a bridge ride away in Manhattan. Methodist has a level III NICU (the highest level) and a birthing center. They also have private rooms at a lower cost than any hospital in Manhattan. Living in Brooklyn, it makes me feel more comfortable to be close to the hospital and it's made my doc appointments much more convenient.
Also, they have an amazing Perinatologist known for his expertise in Maternal fetal medicine and surgeries. His name is Doctor Kofinas,he doens't have the best beside manner, but he does have great skill.
As for me I love Methodist, I love the staff in my docs office (inside the hospital) and I also love the facilities.
