TTM about double strollers

I have exhausted TB's search engine looking at recommendations and was hoping y'all could either weigh in or point me in a direction of a blog/website that has reviews (like the carseat for littles website...seriously million dollar idea here people).

Right now I'm leaning towards the Joovy caboose because I only need it for Disney and maybe the zoo (right now we bring the bugaboo and maclauren umbrella every time), so I don't really need it to be for jogging or anything like that, just comfy enough for Ty and available for Bradley to ride in/on when he gets tired of walking (so I don't hear "uppie" every 5 seconds) :)

Thanks B's

Re: TTM about double strollers

  • I have no experience but my SIL has a preg-preggo that she got off craigslist.  She likes it, but told me that if I am to get a double stroller to get a jogging one, she told this to me when we were at Disney as she said it's usually easier to maneuver.
I usually take what she says with a grain of salt, but this made some sense and like I said no personal experience.

  • No personal experience, but if you are only going to use it for places like Disney or zoo (open spaces) I feel like I would go with a side by side. That way no one is annoyed about needing to be in the back. Oh and I've seen the ladies on the baby gear board talk about a stroller FB group.

  • I bought the Joovy when Quinn was born.  It's a beast but most doubles or sit and stands are.  I have the regular though and not the ultralight.  I will say that the basket was a GD pita to get anything in or out of.  We're going to take it to Sesame this summer and I've actually decided to pack similar type things in zip loc bags so I can take each one out as I need it instead of a big bag.

  • I have a baby jogger city select and the summit- both are doubles. The select you can use as a single as well. I like both. I use the select for errands and the summit for walks/jogs.
