MOTN Feedings

DD turned 6 weeks yesterday and literally slept all day and had to give her LOTS of encouragement to eat her 3-4oz during the day.

The past 2 nights during her night feeds (2ish AM & 5ish AM) she is only taking 1-1.5oz and is OUT! I try to get her to take more but her little mouth is sealed tight! Needless to say she has woken up a little cranky. Anyone else's LO doing this?

    my DD did this for a few days around then, too. she'll be 7 weeks on Wednesday and seems to be back to normal with the amount she's eating and sleeping. I asked my pedi about it and she said let her sleep at night but I can try waking her in the day and giving her less oz more frequently.

    My LC said some babies go through their growth spurt by sleeping all the time. Maybe that's what's happening? I'd definitely try more frequent feedings if you can.
