Vibrating Soother

For those of you who have and use some kind of vibrating soother like a pnp, rnp, etc. how long do you leave it on for? Sometimes I forget to turn my LO's off and fall asleep... Kind of worries me, though they're supposed to be harmless.

    I personally wouldn't be worried about if. DS used to fall asleep in the bouncer and I'd leave the vibration on for as long as he slept.

    I leave mine on as long as he's sleeping. If I turn it off, he wakes up!

    Yeh if he's sleeping we have to leave it on otherwise he wakes up as soon as we turn it off. So crazy! But I think the longest I've left it on is 30 mins.

    I call it a dummy (not paci). I'm British. We have lots of different names for everything, but I think I've done a good job of translating to US terms so far. ;)

    Sidenote: is calling a pacifier a soother a Canadian thing? Everyone here seems to say paci, but everyone I know calls it a soother.hmm.

    Haha I can see where that's confusing, especially since the pacifiers we use are the Soothie ones. I just wasn't sure what else to call the vibrating thing.
    On another side note pacifiers in the UK are called dummies. I found that out reading different blogs and trying to figure out what in the world a dummy was that they were giving their baby.
