Preganant two months after D&C, could I possibly be carrying twins?

So my fiancé and I were 12 weeks pregnant when we found out the baby had anacephly and we decided we couldn't bare going on with the pregnancy and knowing our little one will pass. We let our angel go 1/25/14. I miss her/him .
On Monday 03/31/14 I had a dream I was pregnant an decided to test when u woke up I seen an extremely faint line but it looked like an evap to me so I tossed it. Idk why I decided to test again thur 04/03/14 and it came out positive (dollar tree brand) ran to family dollar and bought an ept (positive) then I tested the next day after it was slightly darker and then again today 04/06/14 and even darker, I haven't even missed my period yet I'm due 5-8 days before my missed period. Do you think it can be twins? Idk why but this pregnancy feels completely different from my first and I'm having cramping on both sides apose to just my left. I just have a feeling it's twins. Can any mommies tell me what they think? Looking forward to a healthy pregnancy this time, I love my fiancé to pieces I want to love him more and give him a family. I'm so blessed and in love. Is there a possibility you will have twins? Sure. How would we possibly know the answer to that though?

Lurker butting in...

I had very strong symptoms before I even tested. I was peeing a bazillion times a day. When I learned 2 weeks after my BFP that I was having twins, I was SURE that's why my symptoms were soooo strong. I internally rolled my eyes at women pregnant with singletons saying they felt the same way. I was so sick, I couldn't eat, and it was a really, really rough first tri.

Well, now I'm pregnant with a singleton. I got just as sick and started peeing like crazy just as early. So now I know that my symptoms were just how my body normally responds to pregnancy. Unless you had some sort of reproductive treatment to suggest you might ovulate multiple eggs, you really won't know until you have an ultrasound. Either way, best of luck!

Congrats on your pregnancy! My SIL is carrying twins and my symptoms have been way worse than hers. I tested positive the day of my missed period and she couldn't turn a test until 12 days after her missed period. There's absolutely no way to tell until you have an ultrasound.

Sure it's possible, but not because you had early symptoms or an early test. The thought crossed my mind as well, got pg 2nd cycle after my skip cycle after my MMC, had symptoms early and a positive test 6 or 7 days before AF was due - strong lines and even a digital was positive. I googled a little - hCG early in twin pregnancies is pretty much the same as singletons. Levels tend to be higher in twin pregnancies, but not until much later. My ultrasound confirmed one baby. I do know I ovulated a little early in my cycle so I assume this one may have implanted quickly in the window as well which produced the early result. Baby was also measuring 6 days ahead of dates on my first ultrasound.

The only way to know is once they confirm on ultrasound. I also have friends (3) with twins. Only one said she had early symptoms and an early positive, but she had an early positive with her singleton. A second one had no symptoms until way after her missed period, she didn't test early but at her first scan she found out she was expecting twins.

Congrats! As other pp's said, there is no way to know until you get an ultrasound. I was totally sure I was pregnant with twins in this pregnancy since I have never been so sick in my life since day one (I started throwing up before I even tested). I am carrying only one, symptoms are not good to predict anything, just plain annoying
