  She mostly points to people. It's a normal index finger point.
  
  I will tell her "look!" and point, but I don't do that very often. I wonder if her babysitter does it more?!

  When you read books do you point at the pictures? That's pretty much the only time Ty points

  Alyssa usually points by pinching her fingers and thumb together and she points at her dad or some toy she wants. She started doing the normal 1 finger point at different things in books too. Now that she mastered just sticking out the 1 finger she also likes to stick it up my nose, fun times

  No pointing or clapping yet. Or waving. I'm working on it though. Hopefully she picks up on it soon!

  She points at everything- pictures, the dogs, the ceiling, my face, the direction she wants to go... It's a 1 finger point.
  
  ETA: we tried teaching her to high five and she points to our palms. \:D/

  Landon doesn't seem to get the concept of point by even. I point at something and he stares at me like I am crazy. I think we really need to work on the pointing.

  Lily points, but I think it's to know what things are. I point at things and tell her what they are. I read somewhere that babies get to a stage on the way to talking where they point at items to know what they are.

  Ever since realizing she can move her fingers independently she's obsessed with touching everything with her pointer finger. We went to a bakery today and I put her down so she could stand and when I saw she was pointing the cannoli and was looking at me like "Mom! Get that one pweeeaaze!" I tried so hard to snap a picture.

  No pointing here. Ds1 doesn't even point at 3 yrs old. I was always taught that pointing is rude so I don't even do it. I'm sure that's why my boys never picked it up.

  I don't think he points to designate things. But he lifts his arm and slowly, with great dignity, unfurls his index finger.  Then he stands there and babbles with his finger aloft, as though pontificating on esoteric subjects.  Other times he raises it , just as soberly, but more as though it were his light saber or scepter.  To prove that he has the power.
