The Bee's Knee - NBR

So I was having supper at the IL's. I declared that Dairy Queen chicken strip basket is the bee's knee. My DH didn't even know what I was saying and they all started laughing because they never heard of that. Please tell me you have heard the saying. "The Bee's Knee". They think it must be a Chicago thing, perhaps. Anyways please make me feel like I am not cray cray!

Eastern PA and I deft. know what the Bees Knees means. I agree though that it's pretty old fashioned

I've heard it. I think I said it in last weeks UO thread actually. I say "bees knees" though. It's never singular.

washington, and we know what the bee's knees are...but i haven't heard it since 5th grade probably.

I live in Louisiana and I have heard it. It has been a while since I have heard it regularly but I have heard my parents use it. They are in their early 50's.

When I say it out loud I say the bee's knees, but wrote it out singularly I'm not sure why.

Cats pajamas fan here as well. It's extra fun because dd1 has a nightgown with cats all over it and whenever she wears them I tell her they are the cat pajamas.

I'm the only one who laughs, my family doesn't appreciate my humor.
