I don't know if anyone here actually recognizes me really but I do post some so I thought I would explain my absents for the last week and half or so. I was admitted into the hospital for a lung infection (which is really common with Cystic fibrosis, which you may or may not remember I have) and during that time my nutritionist brought up the concern of my weight (BMI got down to 18 when they want it at 20+) and since I lost weight while in the hospital it was decided by all that a feeding tube would probably be the best thing for me and baby. I knew that this was a possibility for a while now, they had been threatening me with one for months now and losing the little bit of weight i had managed to gain was the last straw. So last Tuesday I had a GJ tube placed which a feeding tube that bypasses the stomach so I can still eat what I want and get the formula feeds at night. This past week has been a blur of pain and sleeping but I have managed to gain weight (bmi is around 19.5 now) and baby is thriving. I'm home now and on the mend, still getting tube feeds at night. It is so much nicer to not have to worry about food and can now eat what I want and not have to worry about how much protein and calories I am getting during the day.
Now onto the fun part of the post
It's My Birthday!!!!! Happy to be home for my birthday (been stuck in for a birthday before and it's so not fun!) but wishing I wasn't in quite so much pain. Getting ready to go out to a nice late lunch/early dinner at a local restaurant then ordering a nice camera for myself courtesy of my dad and getting some sparkling cider for home. Picked this resteraunt out just for their mac and cheese. A nice gouda cheese and bacon. Last time I went they had a pumpkin cream brulee which it might be too much to hope that they still have it.
TL;DR: I'm alive and relatively well, I have survived another rotation around the sun and I'm about to have some fabulous mac and cheese.

Hope your Mac and cheese was as delicious as it sounded.
I am so glad you are able to enjoy it from home! I hope you continue to feel better and enjoy that mac n cheese!
Glad to hear you are doing better, I hope the pain goes away very soon. I have followed a woman from where I grew up that has CF and recently had a baby girl.
Enjoy your b-day dinner!
