Bath time woes

Hi ladies! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Been spring cleaning, trying to declutter my house. Anyway, question! You all know my kid has some wild, crazy hair and it NEEDS to be washed daily because all kinds of fun stuff ends up in there- food, poop, spit up- you name it. Well, my daughter has recently become very resistant to having water poured over her head. It started when she could sit up. I had to make her lean back to wash it out. This was not her favorite, but fine in the infant tub. When we moved to the big tub, I had her lay back and used a cup to rinse her head. That initiated screaming. So I tried one of those cups that mashes up against the forehead. Nope. Then I tried one of those foam visor things- still screams + tries to take the visor off. Then I tried the shower sprayer- she loves when I spray her tummy and she likes when the water sprays her mouth. This worked 1 day, so I thought, great! Problem solved. But the next day, screaming bloody murder, reaching out to me, and trying to stand up. This led to her slipping and falling face first in the water. Scared the crap out of her, and me, but she was ok.....I don't know what to do anymore to get her hair washed.... Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks!

    Hmm, I will be following.  My LO also has some crazy hair that needs daily washing.  Right now we're in an inflatable tub and she will let me lean her back against the back part and rinse it out but I also forsee a problem when we move to the big tub!!!

    A folded wash cloth over her forehead to catch any soap from going into her eyes and just pour the water over her head while she is sitting up. My DD was the same way as yours and this usually worked, also I distracted her with a bath you placed in her lap so she would look down, then I pour water over her head and because she was looking down it didn't get in her face.

    We have had the same problem. We let her stand up and hold on to the side. Then she sits on her terms. We use a wet wash cloth to rinse her hair ( she doesn't have much). This is my girl who loved bath until a week ago.

    @riansmommie thank you! that is an idea i hadn't thought of. I will try that tonight. I think that the water on her face is what she really hates but now water touches the back of her head and she starts protesting in anticipation.

    We have water conditioned lo since birth. He hated it at first but now loves and even goes under in the pool after two classes. We say his name and then 1,2,3 go and use to pour cups of water on his head and face. They do this at all the pools here too.

    I think I'm a mean mom. I just take the sprayer and spray their heads down. I do put a washcloth over their eyes though before it do it.

    We tried the washcloth and had a less traumatic bath. She still reached for me and fussed but no screaming. :) it's a start. I feel really uncoordinated though. Trying to hold the washcloth and the cup, all while she's trying to get the cloth off her head/reach me, and I'm trying to pour while also trying to make sure she doesn't fall over. Maybe I need a bath seat. I will try the Peri bottle too, thanks @ciahanna !

    N has started to hate her baths. The second I put her in the water she screams and crawls up the sides until I'm done. I'm going to try getting in with her. I hope she doesn't pee or poop...

    We're mean too lol  We have a bowl and just dump water over his head.  It only takes twice and he freaks but is fine the second it's over.

    We have this huge sponge that we use. It holds quite a bit of water and I cover eyes with my free hand.
