Hello Moms, My name is Alice and I am 22 and this is my first pregnancy. I got married to my wonderful husband on June 6, 2013.  I must say I am filled with many emotions but excitement and anticipation are the two dominant ones lol. According to my last menstrual I am due around Dec. 6, 2014. At this moment I am 4 weeks along and the weeks couldnt go any slower :)  Are there any other first time mommies?  How are you feeling?  Whats going through your mind?

  • Hi!  Congrats! I'd like to recommend you check out your month board and the 1st tri board; there are lots of FTMs over there and those boards get a lot more traffic and attention than this one. Good luck!

  • Yes! I am 23 and recently married in 2013 as well! We miscarried our first child (Jan 1) and recently found out we are pregnant again! I am 7.5 weeks along and it feels like the weeks are going so slow!! Although I am already showing and stressing a little about this I am pretty sure it is mostly bloating. Do you have any symptoms yet?
  • I'm not showing yet but my symptoms are frequent urination (like clock work lol), mood swings, some foods make me nausous but no vomitting, and gas (embarrasing!!!) haha. I am 5 weeks now and yes! I totally agree the weeks are going by so slow.
  • Oh yes my SIL is a week ahead of me and we were discussing the gassiness the other day! Do you have extra saliva (weirdo too but I do)? Cramping?
  • No extra saliva but thats probably cuz I dont have morning sickness, I'm guessing you do?  Cramping yes, I woke up 1:00 in the morning with them and then I ate cuz I was super hungry lol

  • It's nt really morning sickness. I have only thrown up once in the morning. Usually I throw up at night or get really sick at night. I had my first ultrasound today and saw the heart beat but the size of the baby measures smaller than my due date which I have to be at least 6 weeks I thought if you saw the heart beat but from what I have read 3mm is small for 6 weeks. Very confused and scared!
  • Well the term "morning sickness" is actually an oxymoron because you can have it at any time of the day or all day. Some women even have it through out their whole pregnancy. I'm a CMA and worked in OB/GYN for 3 years. Im suprised you had an ultrasound at 6weeks. I made an appointment at an office near my job and they dont start to see ob patients until 9 weeks. So my first appt is 5/8. Dont be afraid its still early in the pregnancy and sometimes when its that early measurments arent 100%. Everything will be ok, you will be 8 months asking for baby to be out :)
  • Haha yes that 1 of my SIL she is due next month and she just wants the baby out! Lol and yes I have heard others don't get an ultrasound until 9 weeks. Maybe because I recently miscarried before this baby they wanted to check sooner? Not sure though.
  • Yea thats most likely the reason why.

  • Hi! I am also going to be a mama for the first time! I am around 9 weeks (had the US at wk7) and have had just about every symptom in the book. All day nausea, crazy cravings, bloating, gas... Lol thank God for an understanding hubby! Anyway, congrats to you ladies :)
  • I'm due a few days before you!  Dec. 2.  FTM here as well!  Welcome!
  • Aww Welcome ladies and congrats! Where are you all located? I would like to start a pregnancy group with first time moms like myself, where we meet and talk, have walks, lunch just a support group.  Also once baby arrives we can arrange play dates and more! :)
