  I understand the concerns. In Germany they have these that get serviced by the mailman - the address would be something like: 

  
  

  Ms. July 13 Lady

  Package Box Account Nr. 12345 

  Package Box XZY 

  Town ABC. 

  
  

  You get a text when something gets delivered for you. The beauty of the thing is, you can have packages sent to practically every town in Germany, because it's not the box that's person-specific, it's your Account Nr.

  I'm just trying to brainstorm here... could someone who doesn't want to give out her address set up a registry-type thing on Amazon? I know that sort of takes the fun out of some of it, but you can then send a gift to that person without knowing the address (Amazon does it automatically). Does this make sense at all?

  Is the idea behind the birthday exchange that we would try to send a gift around the baby's actual birthday? Because that would go across 4 months.

  This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! 
  DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
  131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....

  We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.

  My idea is we would just do birthdays and try to get close to actual birthdays, so it would span the four months.
  Or do Mother's Day, and then do another for birthdays in july since that's the month of the board.
