Waiting for our home study to be approved and to review our profile. I need to get used to waiting as I'm sure there will be more waiting down the road.
3.) AR-QOTW - Do you/did you have a gender preference?
I don't, H does- he wants at least 1 boy. As a result we will either end up with 1 or 2 boys or 1 boy and 1 girl.
4.) Non-AR-QOTW - What are your favorite TV shows?
The Americans, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory

2.) We're just waiting! Lots and lots of waiting. Haha.
3.) I've always just imagined having 2 boys, not sure why, but ever since I was little, I wanted boys - twins, actually! DH wants a boy but we've both said at this point, we'll take anyone! And I've noticed myself picking out more and more girl names and gravitating to lots and lots of cute dresses!
4.) This is a tough one, DH and I watch a LOT of Tv:
Currently on TV: Big Bang Theory, Bones, Cutthroat Kitchen, Restaurant Impossible, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, Degrassi, Person of Interest, White Collar
Watched/Watching on Netflix/DVD: Breaking Bad, Weeds, Arrested Development, Orange is the New Black, Once Upon a Time, Six Feet Under, Psych, 30 Rock, and probably a few more that I'm too embarrassed to mention
TTC # 1 Since October 2010 (Not preventing since 2009)
November 2013: Applied & Accepted by the Agency
January 2014: Home Study, education class, Profiles

2.) Where are you in the process? Any accomplishments or set backs? Waiting, Waiting, Waiting.
We did however decide on a second agency to add to our adoption journey. We're hoping that this will open up our search geographically.
3.) AR-QOTW - Do you/did you have a gender preference? Nope, no gender preference. Its funny, sometimes I'm so sure we'll have a girl and then other times just the opposite.
4.) Non-AR-QOTW - What are your favorite TV shows? Once Upon a Time & Parenthood5 Angels
After 1 IUI, 3 IVF's with CGH/CCS testing, 10 early miscarriages, and lots of tears and frustration, we are moving on to Domestic Infant Adoption! We are so excited to see what the future holds.

We are waiting. Been certified for about two weeks now. Had a adoption photo shoot today and excited to get some of those pics back. I made a cute banner that says were adopting and went to a park for the shoot.

It does not really matter to us but I see is with a girl for some reason.

True blood, game of thrones, survivor, history channel!

2.) Where are you in the process? Any accomplishments or set backs? Feel free to vent! Just had our first home visit this morning!! Scheduled our next visit for 3 weeks from now. Getting closer to being approved!

4.) Non-AR-QOTW - What are your favorite TV shows? Oh man.. so many! Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Orange is the New Black, Scandal, House of Cards, True Detectives, Hemlock Grove, Continuum, The Walking Dead, Mindy Project, Modern Family, New Girl.. I could go on and on.. our DVR is very busy. LOL

2.) We just finished Homestudy #3 and have four more to go. We also have our last class tonight!! 5:30 to 8:30pm is tough after a full day at the office!

4.) We don't have cable, which has really limits our shows, but we still catch: The Voice, Blacklist and Believe. Also lots of football will be on in the fall!

We have 3 more classes until we have our "graduation", interviews and home visits.

I'm a reality TV show junkie! I love Real Housewives....

We're between placement and finalization. A judge has signed birthfather TPR! It's amazing how a personal connection changes how you feel about things. When the birthmother revocation period passed, it felt bittersweet, presumably because we know her, but this just feels happy.
3.) AR-QOTW - Do you/did you have a gender preference?
Not at all, but since we had been TTC for several years, we had settled on talking about the child that we were waiting for as a girl. Oops. We guessed wrong :-)
4.) Non-AR-QOTW - What are your favorite TV shows?
Right now I'm watching The Americans and we're watching/rewatching The Wire. I want to watch Game of Thrones next, but I think DH won't go for it.

just starting with the paperwork for our homestudy.
3.) AR-QOTW - Do you/did you have a gender preference? We wanted to select a girl, but realized that we'd be limiting our opportunity significantly with a gender preference. The reason for a girl is that DH already has 2 boys; his brother has 3 boys, and he has 2 brothers. His mom has not been in his life for over 30 years. We need more females in the family!

We are considering beginning the process again. My biggest complaint is the cost and that would be the biggest set back.
3.) AR-QOTW - Do you/did you have a gender preference? I thought I wanted a boy. DH was convinced it would be a girl . Of course he was right and I wouldn't want it any other way.
